Microsoft identifies four critical, six important and one moderate issue in October's Patch Tuesday.
The most critical issue is a vulnerability in Active Directory which could allow remote code execution if an attacker gains access to an affected network. Also identified as critical were flaws found in Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer, Host Integration Server RPC, and Microsoft Excel.
Important vulnerabilities identified were in Microsoft Ancillary Function Driver and Windows Kernel which could allow Elevation of Privilege. Also in Windows Internet Printing Service and SMB which could allow remote code execution.
A moderate vulnerability was also found in Microsoft Office.
