Vulnerabilities have been reported in Safari, which if exploited may lead to malicious people conducting cross-site scripting attacks or compromising a user's system.

The vulnerabilities exisit in the handling of URLs containing a colon character in the host name and in WebKit's regular expression compiler in JavaScriptCore/pcre/pcre_compile.cpp.

The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 3.1.1.
