Vulnerabilities found in Sun Java may lead to DoS, bypass certain security restrictions, or to the compromise of a vulnerable system if successfully exploited.

The flaws reside in Java Runtime Environment Virtual Machine, Java Runtime Environment (JRE), Java Web Start, Java Plug-in and in the "useEncodingDecl()" function.

Users are urged to see the vendor advisories for details on affected products and versions.
