A flaw found in McAfee E-Business Server may allow an attacker to bypass authentication and execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of authentication packets which may cause the software to crash.

McAfee has made version 8.5.3 available for download to registered users, which will fix the flaw.

A patch has not been issued for Linux yet and users are urged to install the newest Windows version as soon as possible.
