Internet Christmas shoppers don't seem to have been put off by the growing concern of online fraud.

On 10th December more than £750,000 was spent in a single minute, according to an internet monitoring company.

An online survery provided by eDigital Research found that 87 per cent of people would buy some Christmas presents online. Consumers are finding it easier to buy products over the Internet and the number of people doing so is steadily increasing. As a result, companies are trying to provide more secure payment systems in order to reduce the amount of online fraud so consumers can feel more comfortable about using their credit cards online.
