A flaw has been identified in McAfee E-Business Server which may compromise a vulnerable system if exploited by malicious people.

The vulnerability is caused due to an interger overflow within the E-Business server which attackers may exploit by causing a heap-based buffer overflow. If the sever crashes due to the large amount of data that has been sent, the attacker may then execute arbitrary code.

Users are urged to update to E-Business Server 8.5.3 for Solaris or E-Business Server 8.1.2 for Linux/HP-UX/AIX.

Please note that the Windows version is not affected.
