A critical flaw in iTunes, which could permit arbitrary code execution, has been patched by Apple.

The flaw, which has been found in iTunes 7.4, could could also lead to unexpected system termination if a maliciously crafted music file was opened.

Apple has patched the flaw and iTunes users should apply the update, which is available at:
