Nine out of ten new phishing sites in May were created using phishing kits. These worrying findings, released by IBM's X-Force security research team, demonstrate that it's now frighteningly easy for anyone to set up a phishing site.
The recommendations for avoiding being caught by a phishing site remain the same - type in the URL rather than following a link in an email, ensure that supposedly secure sites begin with https and check that the padlock symbol is present in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
