The Pykse-A worm is spreading through Skype IM sessions, masquerading as a link to an adult website.

The worm is likely to be sent from an apparent contact of a Skype user, although the message will be of an abrupt nature, which may make the recipient realise that it's not genuine. If a user was to click on the link, they would be shown a racy image whilst a Trojan downloader installed malware. Once the worm is installed, it will connect to a number of remote websites, perhaps in an effort to increase hits and permit the owners to increase advertising revenue accordingly.

No other Skype worms have been particularly successful and it's not thought that Pykse-A will be any more so, hence the worm is only rated as a low risk.
