Microsoft missed out March's Patch Tuesday, even though numerous Microsoft flaws remain unpatched, including at least five zero day vulnerabilities and a Word flaw that is known to be being currently exploited. Microsoft says that it's working on a fix for the Word flaw.

A Microsoft spokesman recently said: "Microsoft continues to investigate potential and existing vulnerabilities in an effort to help protect our customers. Creating security updates that effectively and comprehensively fix vulnerabilities is an extensive process involving a series of sequential steps."

The April update is scheduled to be issued on Tuesday 10th April, with a security bulletin advance notification scheduled to be issued on Thursday 5th April.
