Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition version 10 and Symantec Client Security version 3 were found to be vulnerable to a potential stack overflow, which if exploited, could enable an attacker to crash a system or execute arbitrary code. The flaw was found and fixed towards the end of May 2006 shortly after it was discovered and Symantec is not aware of any attempts made to exploit the vulnerability.

The consumer version of AntiVirus, installed on 200 million PCs around the world, is not vulnerable to the flaw.
