The Anti-Phishing Working Group focuses on eliminating ID theft and fraud resulting from phishing and spoofing.
Its 2005 Phishing Activity Trends Report has highlighted over 7000 unique phishing sites and over 15,000 phishing reports in December alone. The report shows that financial organisations and their clients were the main target for phishers and almost 35% of all phishing websites and emails emanated from the USA.
